Hello and Welcome to MEC!
I graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelors in History and Social Sciences Teaching Certification for grades 5-12. Then started teaching for Mexico Public Schools in 2006. This means that I have been here for, WOW, 14 years now! I moved to Mexico in the summer of 2012. That same year I finished my Masters of Arts in Teaching degree. I am now a Google Certified Educator and K-12 Library Media Specialist, as well.
During the school year, I score/announce/work gate for Bulldog Athletics and work with the Mexico Community Teacher's Association and MSTA as a district representative. When summer rolls around each year, you can find me teaching Personal Finance in summer school or working with the Technology Department. I enjoy all my different "hats" within MSD59.
Away from school, I enjoy reading historical fiction, eating at Dagwood Jr, working in my herb garden, taking care of my cat Cici and more than anything watching Cardinal Baseball, MU Softball/Volleyball and Chiefs Football. We are big fans of Missouri sports in my family!
